I rang in the New Year with family, freezing my bum off and with four cameras strapped to my back. It was awesome. My mother and little sisters had never seen the falls before, and (even though they’re only forty minutes away) I’d never seen them in the winter, so we decided that would be a great way to spend the day. It was cold but incredible! Everything around the falls was coated in a thick layer of ice and the spray came up and created a pillar of misty fog that looked like smoke. It left me feeling pretty inspired for what might happen in 2014.
